GREETINGS!

It’s the beginning of the year and as we say during this time, compliments of the New Year.

We hope and trust that you had a wonderful holiday season and that you are now looking forward to 2008 and its opportunities .

This year promises to be one of the best as government will continue to deliver on its mandate of fighting poverty by creating opportunities, developing skills and improving people’s lives through its various programmes.

Through the Programme of Action, government has already changed the lives of millions who now have clean water, flushing toilets, electricity and houses. Since 1994, over 2,3 million houses have been built, while more than 9,5 people have electricity.

Next month, President Thabo Mbeki will again outline the Programme of Action during his State of Nation address. This will be followed by the Budget Speech where the Minister of Finance will present the country’s budget.

At Vuk’uzenzele we are committed to bringing you all the information to better your life, so share this magazine with others.
