GREETINGS!

The 365 days of this year are running out fast. Most of us have worked hard throughout the year and are looking forward to the break that’s coming up. However, in our celebrations to mark the end of the year, let us make every effort to do so responsibly.

As we prepare to take off the 2007 calendars from our walls we must do so without abusing women, children, the elderly and all those who look up to us for care and support. Let us conclude the year with the greatest respect and commitment to the 365 days of no-violence against women and children.

South Africa’s future looks bright. The end of 2007 means South Africans are fast approaching 2010 when the world’s biggest sporting event will be hosted in this country. Who doesn’t want to share in such a spectacular event? Therefore, to those who will be travelling over the holiday season, be careful. Always keep to the rules of the road, especially regarding speeding and drinking alcohol.

Those who will celebrate along major and local roads at night, please do so on the sidewalks of the road and wear bright colours so that you are visible and not run over by cars.

Let us approach 2008 with a will to succeed and be the best in what we do. This last issue of Vuk’uzenzele for 2007 contains valuable information for the youth. We hope it will help them with their career choices.

We wish everybody a great 2008.
