False report about municipality’s plans to honour president’s wife

The Presidency has noted with concern a report in the Sowetan newspaper yesterday, 11 March 2010, “Sharpeville erupts over Zuma’s wife”, that suggests that the Sedibeng municipality in Gauteng plans to honour President Jacob Zuma’s wife, Sizakele Khumalo.
For the record, neither the Presidency nor the family of the president has received any invitation or been advised of any plans in this regard.
