Commission on Restitution of Land Rights on handing over land to KwaDube

24 April 2009

The Minister for Land Affairs Ms Lulama Xingwana together with the Acting Chief Land Claims Commissioner cordially invites you to a handover ceremony marking the settlement of KwaDube in the Ilembe District Municipality, in the KwaZulu-Natal province on 26 April 2009. During the event a total of 2 740.9316 hectares of land will be handed over to the community at a cost of R754.530.765 million to the state. A total of 687 households and approximately 4 206 individuals from the community will benefit from the settlement of KwaDube community claim.

Venue: Soccer Stadium (New Guerderland School), Stanger

Senior officials from the government including the Director-General for the Department of Land Affairs Mr Thozi Gwanya will be part of the events.
