Deputy President to officiate at the opening of the Presidential Project: Revitalisation of Hlabisa Hospital, Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal

Deputy President Baleka Mbete will Saturday, 18 April 2009, attend the official opening of the Presidential Development Project: the revitalisation of Hlabisa Hospital (phase one) in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, Richards Bay. Phase one of the development was completed in November 2008.

Phase one entailed building 50 units of accommodation, the male and female wards revitalised recreation facility and laboratory, relocation of the mortuary alteration of new admin block, refurbishing of existing male ward into a new Tuberculosis (TB) ward etc.

The provincial Department of Health will also be commemorating the day in Hlabisa with African Traditional Healers to highlight the partnership in the delivery of healthcare.
