South African Foreign Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma to cast vote in Geneva, Switzerland
14 April 2009
Geneva: South African Foreign Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will tomorrow, Wednesday, 15 April 2009, join fellow South Africans based in foreign lands in casting her vote for South Africa's fourth democratic elections at 07h00 in Geneva, Switzerland.
Minister Dlamini Zuma is currently in Geneva en route to Libya for the forthcoming African Union (AU) Executive Council meeting scheduled for 15 to 16 April in Tripoli to discuss the powers of the AU Commission as part of the broader discussion on the need to move towards a continental governance.
Minister Dlamini Zuma is casting her vote in Geneva on Wednesday, 15 April primarily because she will not be in South Africa on 22 April, due to official engagements in Geneva where she will be leading a South African government delegation to the United Nation (UN) Durban Review Conference of the UN World Conference against Racism, Xenophobia and Related Intolerances.
In this regard, Minister Dlamini Zuma and her delegation will cast their votes at the South African Permanent Mission to the UN in Geneva, Switzerland.
