Announcing the preliminary outcome of revenue collection for the 2008/09 financial year

Please be advised that the Minister of Finance, Mr Trevor A Manuel, will on Wednesday, 1 April 2009, around midday announce the preliminary outcome of revenue collection figures of the South African Revenue Service (SARS).
The current financial year 2008/09 ends at midnight on 31 March 2009. The revenue target for South African Revenue Service (SARS) to collect is R627 billion. SARS will arrange a media briefing for the announcement in Pretoria that will be addressed via video-link by the Minister of Finance from London.
