Deputy President to lead press conference following the South African National Aids Council (Sanac) Plenary

Deputy President, Baleka Mbete, as the South African National AIDS Council (Sanac), Chair, will on Tuesday, 24 March 2009, convene the Sanac Plenary meeting at the Sheraton Hotel in Pretoria.
The Deputy President will after the meeting, conduct a media briefing, supported by the Sanac Deputy Chair, Mark Heywood, the Minister of Health Ms Barbara Hogan and the relevant officials.
The meeting follows a discussion this week, 17 March 2009, by the Deputy President and Sanac Sector Leaders where the Deputy President put on the table the issue of the effectiveness of the SANAC Plenary and the way forward.
The relevant agenda and the above issues will be dealt with in the media briefing that the Deputy President will lead.
