Premier Edna Molewa and Mayor Maphetle Maphetle to do the sod turning of Thusong Service Centre in Potchefstroom

North West Premier Edna Molewa, accompanied by Tlokwe Local Municipality Executive Mayor, Maphetle Maphetle, will conduct the sod turning ceremony for the construction of a new Thusong Service Centre (one-stop service centre) in Potchefstroom, as follows:

Venue: Next to the Chris Hani Community Hall, Ikageng Township, Potchefstroom
Time: 10h00

Members of the media are invited to a press briefing which will take place before the sod turning ceremony and scheduled as follows:

Venue: Executive Mayor's Boardroom, Tlokwe Local Municipality, Potchefstroom

The South African Post Office is funding the entire construction of this facility. Further, Premier Molewa will also be handing over a tele-centre to the Maquassi Hills Local Municipality later on the day.

The tele-centre is an initiative between the Department of Communications and Universal Service and Access Agency of South Africa (USAASA). The tele-centre will be housed at a primary school in Makwasie, comprising of computers with internet connection and other modern state-of-the-art technology.
