Social Development responds to allegations about social grants

11 March 2009

The Department of Social Development has learned through calls from media organisations that some individuals and political parties allege that social grants are only given to supporters of the African National Congress (ANC).

We are not doing beneficiaries any favour, as it is their right to receive this assistance," Dr Skweyiya said.
