Health Minister Barbara Hogan visits Free State health facilities

Health Minister Barbara Hogan will tomorrow embark on an intensive working visit in the Free State to assess the situation regarding health facilities in that province and interact with various stakeholders as part of seeking solutions to the challenges facing the health system there.
The Minister will be joined in her visit by high-ranking officials from her department.
Among the facilities that Minister is expected to visit are: Pelonomi Regional Hospital and facilities at the Motheo District Services including Poly Clinic, the antiretroviral (ARV) clinic and Heidedal Maternity.
The Minister will then hold discussions with the Provincial Health MEC in the Free State, the Head of Department (HoD), Chairpersons of hospital boards, Provincial Health Councils and organised labour formations.
Members of the media are invited to join the minister in her visits. A media conference is scheduled to take place during the visit and members of the media will be notified of arrangements to this effect.
