Makgoe to present 2009 budget speech

“Budgeting for development: Finding the balance between hope, service delivery and caution.”
All eyes will be on Free State Finance MEC Tate Makgoe when he delivers the Provincial Budget Speech on February 27 2009.
“The 2009/10 budget seeks to consolidate the progress we have made in building a better Free State,” Makgoe said.
Through this budget the Free State government seek to accelerate advances towards the achievement of strategic priorities, namely:
* economic growth and job creation
* poverty alleviation and building of safe, secure and sustainable communities
* developing healthy, skilled and productive people
* deepening democracy
* building an effective and caring government.
