Minister for Safety and Security, Nathi Mthethwa notes with deep concern the unfortunate appearance in court of the acting Divisional Commissioner for Crime Intelligence, Commissioner Mphego in the Randburg magistrate's court today.
'I take very serious the allegations against the Acting Divisional Commissioner. I remain determined to take the necessary steps on any matter that affect the standing and integrity of the South African Police Service. Upon receipt of further information, I will duly pronounce on further steps to be taken' the Minister said.
