Premier Sogoni passes a goodwill message to the people of the Eastern Cape

15 December 2008

Eastern Cape Premier Honourable Mbulelo Sogoni has today wished all the citizens of the Eastern Cape a happy festive season. Premier Sogoni was speaking in his office in Bhisho. This message from Premier Sogoni comes as people in the province prepare to go on holiday with their families. "I wish all the people of the Eastern Cape and visitors to our province a safe and joyful festive season and a prosperous new year. I urge all our people to drive responsibly during this festive season so that they can arrive alive in their destinations," said Premier Sogoni.

Premier Sogoni said he was happy with the work that his government had done in 2008 but there was still room for improvement. Said Premier Sogoni "As we near the end of 2008, I would like to thank all the people of the Eastern Cape for their contribution in our endeavours to make our province a compelling place to live, work, invest and play. Whilst we acknowledge our achievements during this year, clearly more work needs to be done in bringing closer a better life for all." Premier Sogoni said in 2009 his government will strengthen partnerships with all stakeholders in fighting poverty, under-development and inequality.
