Social Development Minister, Dr Zola Skweyiya to visit Ndwedwe KwaZulu-Natal

Social Development Minister, Dr Zola Skweyiya, will on 8 December promote the war on poverty at Lihlithemba Secondary School in Ndwedwe, near Verulam in KwaZulu-Natal.
The school wrote a letter to the minister highlighting the plight of its needy children, and Minister Skweyiya saw it fit to visit the school with the aim of also assessing social development needs of the community.
He will raise awareness about social grants as well as social relief of distress, a form of assistance in the form of cash, vouchers or food parcels that comes from the Department of Social Development (DSD) and the South African Social Security Agency.
