Mpumalanga Finance MEC to celebrate International Day of Disabled Persons

Mpumalanga Finance MEC, Mr J L (Jabu) Mahlangu will celebrate disability awareness month with the communities around the province, as part of a build-up to the International Day of Disabled Person during the month of December.
The celebrations are aimed at understanding of disability issues and mobilise support for the dignity, rights and well being of disabled persons. It will increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life. The disability awareness month offers an opportunity to every single person and institutions in the country to remove barriers and to improve the quality of life of disabled people through massive action.
The theme of the day is based on the goal of full and equal enjoyment of human rights and participation in society by disabled persons.
