Member of Executive Council (MEC) for Finance and Economic Affairs Mandla Nkomfe will present the Medium Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS) to the Gauteng Legislature on Thursday, 20 November 2008.

The MTBPS is an important step in the budget process as it provides insight into the priorities for the next financial year and the entire medium term period (three years). The MTBPS discusses the policy context and direction that will guide the tabling of the forth coming budgets. It is a process that is initiated in line with the principle of good governance so that the electorate can gain valuable knowledge into the Provincial Government priorities and how they will be financed.
