MEC Gloria Barry to launch phase three of the South African Post Office (SAPO) vehicle licence renewal project in Queenstown
19 November 2008
Eastern Cape MEC for Roads and Transport, Hon. Gloria Barry, will officially launch phase three of the South African Post Office (SAPO) vehicle licence renewal project at the Queens Casino and Hotel in Queenstown on Friday, 21 November 2008 at 18h00.
The launch will mark the commencement of operations in 40 new registering offices in various post offices in the Chris Hani, Ukhahlamba, Cacadu, Amathole and OR Tambo Districts.
This follows a successful implementation of the project in the Nelson Mandela Metro, Buffalo City and King Sabata Dalindyebo in partnership with SAPO.
The identified post offices will work in collaboration with the existing authorities and their main purpose is to cut down the long queues that people experience when they renew their vehicle licences.
"The opening of these new offices will make the services more accessible to our people," says MEC Barry.
