Free State MEC for Finance Tate Makgoe will deliver the keynote address at the Imbizo to be held at Hoopstad on 21 October

Makgoe will also donate blankets and shoes to the senior citizens and children respectively.

About 400 people are expected to attend the imbizo. They include Tswelopele Municipality political leaders, Community Development Workers (CDWs), local non-governmental organisation (NGO) representatives and members of the provincial legislature.

Provincial Health Department, Home Affairs Department, Department of Labour and South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) will offer mobile services at the Imbizo.

The imbizo will be preceded by the MEC and Tswelopele Mayor’s visit to two poverty alleviation projects.
