Limpopo Provincial Government to host the 2008 October Imbizo Focus Week
16 October 2008
The Limpopo Provincial Government will be hosting an Imbizo Focus Week programme as from 20 October until 2 November 2008. The Imbizo Focus Week is an initiative by the national government of the Republic of South Africa. It takes place twice a year around April and October.
During the focus week political heads and senior government officials pay visits to people in their respective localities to discuss issues of service delivery in their areas. It can well be said that the Imbizo Focus Week provides an additional platform through which community members meet their government leaders from all spheres.
In Limpopo, leaders from the national government, the premier of province and members of executive council (MECs) will be joined by executive mayors and local mayors as they will be rolling out events to mark the Imbizo Focus Week in the province. This will go a long way in enhancing integrated governance for effective service delivery.
