Amathole District Municipality will on Tuesday, 7 October 2008 donate 47pregnant heifers to the Keiskammahoek irrigation scheme

A very important stakeholder of the Department of Agriculture, Amathole District Municipality will on Tuesday, 7 October 2008 donate 47 pregnant heifers to the Keiskammahoek irrigation scheme in its dairy project.
The Hon MEC Gugile Nkwinti will be at hand to notice this contribution that is aimed at boosting the economies of the locals and this forms part of the Amathole's contribution within agriculture.
The revitalisation of the irrigation scheme is one of the key areas that MEC touched at during his 2008/09 policy speech and ventures like these help in improving lives of the public.
