SANDF participation in the National Heritage Day Celebrations

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) will once again proudly form part of the formal programme of the National Heritage Day Celebrations on 24 September 2008, at 11h00. More than 180 members from different services and divisions will participate in this parade. This year's celebration will be hosted at Maropeng Heritage Site Amphitheatre (Cradle of Humankind), in Gauteng province.
The colourful military ceremony will consist of a National Salute comprising of a guard of honour from the National Ceremonial Guard, 21 rounds gun salute, salute flight by two Oryx Helicopters, National Anthem by the National Ceremonial Guard Band. There will also be an air display by the Silver Falcons followed by the Final National Salute.
