Join in the celebration of National Construction Week 2008
29 July 2008
The department has launched the third (annual) National Construction Week (NCW), to be observed and celebrated nationally from Sunday, 27 July to Sunday, 3 August 2008. As in the past, both public and private sector organisations will be expected to identify and commemorate milestones marking the growth, development and transformation of the construction industry considering the role of this industry in helping to contribute to the socio-economic development of South Africa.
This year, the theme of the NCW campaign is to celebrate the role of small, developing and emerging enterprises as well as observe their contribution to industry growth, development and transformation. Consequently, various offices and sections will be expected to embark on actions, any action, to pay tribute to small contractors, sub-contractors and other emerging contractors currently participating in our projects and programmes such as Vuk'uphile and contractor incubator programme.
