Fallen heroes to be honoured

The tombstone of two struggle heroes, Dorothy Mokgalo and Bonang Bertrand, will be unveiled on Saturday, 30 August 2008, at Montshiwa Stadium. This will be one of the key activities marking the culmination of Women's Month.
Dorothy Mokgalo's car overturned in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, 2 August 1997 in Johannesburg. At the time of her death, she was the National Organising Secretary of Cosatu, having previously been Cosatu's National Gender Co-ordinator.
Bonang Bertrand is the daughter of Shirley Bertrand, one of the most dedicated activists. She was in exile when Bonang was born. Bonang, who was born in 1973, died when she had just joined the National Intelligence Agency.
