President Thabo Mbeki will hold a two-day Imbizo from Saturday, 23 to Sunday, 24 August 2008, at Rustenburg Municipality and Moses Kotane Municipality, both under Bojanala District Municipality in North West Province.

The President will be supported by the North West Premier Ms Edna Molewa and members of her cabinet, Ministers Lulu Xingwana of Agriculture and Land Affairs, Pallo Jordan of Arts and Culture, Naledi Pandor of Education and Ivy Matsepe-Casaburri of Communications amongst others.

The first day will be dedicated to provincial reports on the state of socio- economic transformation and service delivery and progress reports on 2010 preparations.

The second day will see President Mbeki, the Premier and the Ministers engage with the local leadership and other stakeholders, interact with the general public and visit community projects.
