Gauteng MEC for Community Safety to launch a Community Safety Plan for the Meadowlands policing precinct

The MEC for Community Safety in Gauteng, Firoz Cachalia, will today launch a Community Safety Plan (CSP) for the Meadowlands policing precinct at the Southern African Development Co-ordination Conference (SADCC) Hall in Zone 10, Meadowlands.
The event starts at 17h00 and will be, amongst others, attended by local councillors and the management of the South African Police Service (SAPS) in the area.
The CSP is aimed at identifying safety and security needs in the area and developing solutions that are relevant towards addressing these challenges. MEC Cachalia will endorse the plan as well as launch the community patroller project for the area which is an integral part in the fight against crime in the province under the auspices of the Take Charge Campaign.
