Deputy President to chair a meeting of the Presidential Working Group on Commercial Agriculture

Deputy President Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka will later today, 11 August 2008, chair the Presidential Working Group meeting on Commercial Agriculture at the Union Buildings.
The last meeting took place on 20 May 2008 and the discussions focused on amongst others, industry collaboration; a progress report on the agricultural sector plan, high food prices and water pollution.
The Deputy President will be accompanied by Cabinet ministers and senior government officials. The agriculture sector will be represented by delegates from Agri SA, National African Farmers Union South Africa (NAFU SA) and Transvaal Agricultural Union (TAU).
