The Sexual Offences and Community Affairs Unit of the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) cordially invite members of the media to a briefing session which will take place as follows:

Venue: Sheraton Hotel, Corner Church and Wessels Streets, Pretoria
Time: 09h30 for 10h00
The Sexual Offences and Community Affairs Unit handle the prevention and reduction of sexual offences through effective prosecutions and appropriate management of victims.
It has nurtured the internationally recognised and award-winning Thuthuzela Care Centres for dealing with victims of sexual offences which are now being rolled out to 52 of the hardest hit communities in the country.
The unit also convenes and chairs the Inter-Departmental Management Team (IDMT) on Gender Based Violence and also implement South Africa's national strategy on the emerging crime of Human Trafficking.
This is an opportunity for the media to engage with role-players on these contemporary issues and play a role in creating awareness around these issues.
