The Minister for Agriculture in the Western Cape, Cobus Dowry will dose one of the cart horses in Epping on Friday, 8 August 2008 at 11h00.

The Department of Agriculture in the Western Cape will once again assist cart horse owners, in conjunction with the Cart-Horse Protection Association (CHPA), to deworm their horses. The Department of Agriculture will once again come to the aid of the cart horse owners in assisting them to de-worm 600 cart horses at the premises of the Cart Horse Protection Association in Epping on Friday, 8 August 2008.

The cart horse industry is very important to the community in the Cape Flats as it renders a service to many people of the area and at the same time providing an income to the owners of these horses.
