Media release for the further education and training (FET) Women's Day celebrations

The Free State Department of Education through its FET Colleges will celebrate Women's Day on 8 August 2008, at Welkom (Hall of Fame).
The purpose of this event is to:
* highlight to the FET Colleges of the fundamentals of Women's Day and to raise awareness to young women at the FET sector
* celebrate the achievements of women in the country
* promote and encourage young women to take an active role in contributing towards the economy of the country by being involved in skills programmes and development.
