President Mbeki visits Free State as part of the government Imbizo Programme

President Thabo Mbeki will hold a two-day Imbizo from Sunday, 3 to Monday, 4 August 2008 at Naledi Municipality and Mangaung Municipality respectively, both under the Motheo District Municipality in the Free State province.
This visit forms part of government's Imbizo Programme aimed at promoting government interaction with communities across the country.
The President is scheduled to embark on a walk-about, visit a number of community projects, engage with the local leadership and other stakeholders, and interact with the general public in a community Imbizo and on a phone-in radio platform.
Members of the media are invited to cover the opening remarks during presentations, site visits and the Community Imbizo.
