Popularisation of the Older Persons Act 13 of 2006

The Department of Social Development is committed to make services accessible to all South Africans especially in rural communities.
In an effort to achieve this, the Department will deploy a team of officials at national and provincial level comprising of communicators and social workers in Limpopo for a period of two weeks.
They will work with both provincial and district fora for older persons to market the new legislation for older persons (Older Persons Act) and services to older persons.
The campaign covers deep rural areas in Vhembe, Mopani, Capricorn, Sekhukhune and Waterberg districts. It will commence on 11 to 22 August 2008 starting from the Vhembe District. Come join us and hear more about this new legislation.
