Limpopo's Department of Agriculture to host an Agricultural consultation summit

The Limpopo Department of Agriculture will host a one day agricultural consultation summit on Friday, 25 July 2008 at Protea Hotel, the Ranch Hotel outside Polokwane from 08h00. The summit will bring together participants in the agricultural value chain to interact on matters affecting the agricultural sector today and into the future.
The summit will provide a platform for stakeholders in the farming sector including farmers, farmers unions, financial institutions (banks), agro processors and some government departments to make inputs into the country's agricultural policy, agricultural sector strategy and implementation plan in such a way that it improves competitiveness, profitability and sustainability of the sector.
Resolutions of the summit will form part of the Limpopo provincial inputs into the National Consultative Summit which will be held in Limpopo from 29 July to 1 August 2008
