Minister of Home Affairs, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula arrives in Mexico to attend International Workshop on Migration, Development and Gender

The Minister of Home Affairs Ms Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula has today, 26 June 2008, arrived in Mexico City to attend a seminar on migration. This is a two day seminar commencing from 26 June until the 27 June 2008.
The seminar will focus on the challenges regarding international migration, labour mobility, human rights and gender. The Minister will form part of the panel that will be looking at Globalisation, Labour Mobility and Temporary Migration.
The discussion will be around disparities in salaries and demographic conditions that exist in the global economy, along with the high demand for both skilled and unskilled workers in the developed world and many developing economies.
