Eastern Cape government exhibition stand attracts visitors at annual arts festival
3 July 2008
The Eastern Cape provincial government exhibition stand at the 2008 Grahamstown annual National Arts Festival has received massive interest from festival lovers. The stand which is located at Yellow Wood Terrace, Settler's Monument receives more than 60 visitors per day, young and old.
Not only are the visitors impressed by the Plasma Screen which showcases the cultural richness and diversity of the province, programmes and initiatives aimed at bettering the lives of the Eastern Cape citizenry, but they are also delightful for the information which they get in forms of brochures, booklets and Office of The Premier in house publications like Masincokole and Intengu.
For Lindeka Qinela, one of the visitors, the information available on the stand has really been an eye opener. "I didn't know about Customer Care Service which is rendered by government, but coming to your stand has informed me of my right to complain and the channels I should use to address my problems, she said."
She further stated that she will make sure that the Customer Care Service guide brochures she received will be kept in a safe place, so that she can inform and make noise to other people who might not be aware of the service.
The stand operates from 09h00 to 18h00, for the duration of the festival.
