The Minister of Defence to hold pre-budget vote speech media briefing in parliament, Cape Town
26 May 2008
On Tuesday, 27 May 2008, the Minister of Defence, Honourable Mosiuoa Lekota will hold a media briefing ahead of his Budget Vote Speech later on the day.
The minister's address to the media aims to deal at length with a variety of issues of national concern in respect to the Department of Defence.
The briefing further seeks to give the minister an opportunity to engage with the media on these issues, as the time allocated for his Budget Vote Speech is not sufficient to attend to these matters vigorously.
You are invited to send a journalist and a photographer/cameraperson to the media briefing scheduled at 10h00 in the Defence Minister's Boardroom (14th floor).
Subsequently, the Minister and the Deputy Minister Mluleki George will at 15h00 deliver the Budget Vote Speeches in the National Assembly.
