Gauteng Provincial Government outlines plans to deal with xenophobic attacks in the province

Members of the Gauteng Provincial Government's executive council will this afternoon (19 May 2008) address a media briefing in connection with the increasing xenophobic attacks in Gauteng.

More than a week ago, xenophobic attacks in the Alexandra Township dominated headlines and since then several other incidents of xenophobic attacks in other areas of the province have also been reported.

The Gauteng Provincial Government strongly condemns these incidents and will today outline its plans to deal with the issue.
