You are cordially invited to the Free State Department of Health and the South African Police Service' (SAPS) Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT), Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI), HIV/AIDS, antiretroviral (ARV) awareness campaign. The New Start non-governmental organisation (NGO) will be testing community members outside the venue.
When and Where: The event will be held on 25 April 2008, at 10h00 in Bethulie Town Hall, Bethulie. An informal programme will commence as from 07h00.
Why: The purpose is to look at the low uptake of ARV by the community of Bethulie, to encourage the community to utilise health services and to destigmatise HIV/AIDS.
SAPS are also looking at building good relationship with the community, and members of SAPS will test together with the community.
How: There will be a mobile advertising at the street with Police Brass Band and the distribution of material from 07h00.
