All officials of the department
Ladies and gentlemen
Acknowledge Rand show as an annual event for the past four years and we have identified it as the single biggest public relations event to communicate with stakeholders and the public in general in the spirit of information sharing.
This year the focus is on the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) as Department of Public Works and its Ministry have declared 2008/9 as the year of EPWP focusing on its successes and achievements.
The programme has delivered beyond expectations since its inception and has so far met all its targets and commitments that were set out by the state President, Thabo Mbeki. This is our fourth time in a row that we have been participating in the exhibition.
Our creative efforts have been duly recognised in the past with numerous awards that we have been bestowed such as the gold and platinum awards in 2006. All eyes will be on Lillian and her team to increase the tally this year as well.
We therefore like to take this opportunity to invite and welcome all stakeholders, partners, clients and the public at large to be part of this extraordinary stall that we have assembled. We hope the presence of this stall within the duration of the show will assist us in showcasing the programme to all people who will be visit us.
After all, the President has declared in his State of the Nation Address in February this year that this Business Unusual: All hands on deck to speed up change. I would like to thank all people who have worked tirelessly to put together this beautiful stand and Good luck for the rest of the show.
