Christmas party for destitute kids

8 December 2007

The MEC for Public Works Mrs Lydia Johnson in partnership with the Department of Health eThekwini District Office, has identified three 'Drop in Sites', namely, Ekuvukeni in KwaMashu, Hlengisizwe, eNtuzuma and Bhambayi, at Inanda Informal Settlement to host a Christmas Party for the vulnerable children of these three sites. This comes after the MEC had visited children in Kokstad, Home of Comfort to renovate that home.

The MEC has always cared for the most vulnerable of our society and thus decided to host Christmas just as a way of bringing back the smile to the kids who often feel neglected. This is also considered a sign of restoring hope and makes them feel part of a community that cares.

The event takes place at: Bhambayi Drop in Centre, Inanda Informal Settlement
Date: 9 December 2007
Time: 10h00
