Minister in the Presidency, Essop Pahad, to lead National Children's Day celebration

The Minister in the Presidency, Dr Essop Pahad, together with Free State Premier, Beatrice Marshoff, will jointly lead the celebration of this year's annual National Children's Day celebrations.

The National Children's Day celebration is an annual event hosted by the Office on the Rights of the Child in The Presidency.

This event aims, among other things, to create a platform for children to discuss their own role in South Africa's process of ensuring the benefits of a realised childhood in line with the national programme.

It also seeks to build a nation of prosperous, caring and responsible people.

Members of the media are invited to attend the event that will be held as follows:
