Eastern and Southern African ICT Ministers meet to discuss initiatives to connect Africa

The South Africa's Minister of Communications, Ivy Matsepe-Casaburri will host the New Partnership for Africa's Development (Nepad) e-Africa Commission's meeting of Ministers of Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) on Monday.

The meeting which will be held under the joint auspices of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) and the East African Community (EAC), will discuss recommendations of the Nepad Inter-governmental Assembly regarding the submarine cable initiatives that will lead to reduction of costs and improve telecommunications in Africa.
