Minister Balfour kick-starts Imbizo to speed up delivery and strengthen partnerships at local government level

Minister of Correctional Services, Mr Ngconde Balfour today kick-starts the national Government Imbizo programme in Beaufort West with meetings involving various local government and community stakeholders as well as business to discuss interventions aimed at speeding up delivery at the local government level.
This will be followed by a door-to–door campaign and walkabout by Minister Balfour and Deputy Minister Loretta Jacobus in the townships and suburbs of Beaufort West.
Tomorrow, Friday, 27 October, the Minister and Deputy Minister will jointly host a community Imbizo with the local council, to report back on key delivery issues and also listen to community concerns on matters affecting service delivery at local government level.
Today’s stakeholder meetings commence at 12h00 at the Karoo Recreation Hall whilst the Community Imbizo tomorrow commences at 10h00 at the Beaufort West Sports Ground /Field.
