LAND AND AGRARIAN REFORM: FOUNDATION FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
The Deputy Minister for Agriculture and Land Affairs, Adv Dirk du Toit, cordially invites members of the national and local media to the KwaZulu-Natal media tour to land reform projects in the Ladysmith area.
Agrarian and land reform is not only critical for addressing the legacies of the past, but also an indispensable strategic intervention as a foundation for both national and economic growth and development. Experience in Africa, China and other countries has firmly confirmed the catalytic nature of land and agrarian reform in stimulating growth and development, both nationally and locally, and in improving the socio-economic life of communities.
The media will visit projects at local level and will be able to obtain the story of land/agrarian reform from a beneficiary’s perspective.
