Minister of Agriculture and Land Affairs to interact with municipal officials and community of Utrecht

The Agriculture and Land Affairs Minister, Thoko Didiza, will attend a Municipal Imbizo aimed at strengthening the capacity of municipalities to deliver services at the Utrecht Local Municipality, KwaZulu-Natal, on Wednesday, 5 October 2005.
This Imbizo is part of an intensive campaign that is directed at 136 municipalities being assisted through Project Consolidate (a hands-on local government support and engagement programme) to enhance their capacity and performance. On the day the Minister will launch a detailed plan on how Project Consolidate will be implemented in the municipality.
The Imbizo aims to ensure that all spheres of government, as a matter of urgency, implement concrete steps identified to improve service delivery in the municipality.
