Shilowa and MECs to interact with communities
12 April 2005
Gauteng Premier Mbhazima Shilowa and MECs will on Wednesday 13 April 2005 visit various communities as part of the provincial government's Imbizo campaign of direct interaction with residents.
Wednesday's event forms part of government’s Imbizo Focus Week and is also the second monthly Gauteng Imbizo to be held this year. The Executive Council plans to visit over 70 communities as part of the Gauteng Imbizo programme this year.
At the Imbizo, government leaders will brief residents on plans to make Gauteng a better place in the year ahead and residents will have an opportunity to raise their suggestions and concerns directly with local and provincial government leaders.
Direct dialogue and feedback from communities enables government to streamline service delivery aimed at improving people's lives.
In a number of areas government leaders will conduct walkabouts. These will be followed by public meetings, which are scheduled to start at 17h00.
