Media Release: Premier Ndaweni Mahlangu holds an Imbizo at Ehlanzeni Region
19 March 2004

Premier Ndaweni Mahlangu will hold an Imbizo at KaMhlushwa Stadium (Nkomazi Municipality) on Tuesday, 23 March 2004. This gathering of the people follows two weeks after the Nkangala Regional Imbizo, which was held at Tweefontein.

The Izimbizo are aimed at bringing government closer to the people and to share information about service delivery in different areas of Mpumalanga. As part of its political mandate, this government is constitutionally obliged to account fully to its electorate on how I have performed more especially during 10 Years of Democracy. On hand, the electorate will be able to express themselves and ask pertinent questions relating to service delivery and the impact it has on their lives. Such occasions assist both the electorate and government to make necessary interventions together so as to speed up delivery. Already

Premier Ndaweni Mahlangu will first visit various projects in nearby villages and meet ordinary people in order to get first hand information on their concerns before addressing the broader community at Kamhlushwa Stadium at 14:00.

Mayors, Traditional Leaders, Officials of the Provincial Government, Leaders of the civil society and other important dignitaries will grace the occasion.
