The Minister of Correctional Services, Mr Ben Skosana, leaves for Jackson, Mississippi in the United States today to attend a seminar on celebrations to mark the 10th anniversary of South African democracy

The Minister has been invited by the President of Jackson State University, Mr Renald Mason Jr, and will have an opportunity to address representatives of various professional bodies apart from faculty and students of the university.

Correctional Services has had a long-standing co-operation agreement with Jackson State University according to which staff members of the department pursue higher education at the university.

Some senior officials of the department are accompanying the Minister.
