Gauteng reviews Decade of Public Service Transformation

The Gauteng government will this week hold its second annual conference of its top managers. The one-day conference will review key achievements in transforming the public service over the past ten years and address challenges in the decade ahead.
The conference's theme is 'Celebrating a Decade of Public Service Transformation - Leadership Challenges for the Future'.
Premier Mbhazima Shilowa will deliver the opening address at the gathering, to be held at Caesar's in Kempton Park on Friday, 27 February. Shilowa is to reflect on the province's key achievements as well as progress and challenges in improving service delivery and building an efficient, innovative and people-centred public service.
Public Service Commission chairperson, Prof Sikhumbuzo Sangweni, and MIGA Africa World Bank chief representative, Dr Ken Kwaku, will also address delegates.
In addition to over 300 senior managers, private sector representatives and leading academics in the fields of government policy development are also expected to attend the conference.
