DEPUTY PRESIDENT ZUMA VISITS THE PEOPLE OF MPUMALANGA, 13 November 2003
Deputy President Jacob Zuma will on 17 and 18 November 2003 visit the people of Mpumalanga as part of the government's Imbizo public participation programme. The areas to be visited are at the Ehlanzeni and Enkangala districts.
Minister of Minerals and Energy, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, will accompany the Deputy President on the first day of Imbizo, and Minister of Agriculture and Land Affairs, Thoko Didiza, will join the Deputy President on the second day. To be with the Deputy President on both days are Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aziz Pahad, Deputy Minister of Public Works Reverend Musa Zondi and Deputy Minister of Local Government Ntombazana Botha.
The Imbizo programme was launched in 2001 and is aimed at taking government to the people and enhancing interaction between senior government executives and citizens.

Monday, 17 November 2003 - Ehlanzeni District
9am
The Deputy President will visit the Amazing Grace Children's Centre in Malelane., at 1sthouse, Factory Street.
10.30am
Visit to the Thembelihle Home-Based Care Centre in Mangweni Village where the Deputy President will interact with care workers and families.
12pm
The Deputy President will have a discussion with traditional leaders.
2pm
The main Imbizo takes place in Mangweni at the Khomba - So Sport Field.
Tuesday, 18 November 2003

The Deputy president and delegation will visit the Kusile Disability Centre in Siyabuswa, in Section 1, Site 2, Nomfundo Street (Between the C.N. Mahlangu Technical College and Ndebele College of Education).

Visit to the Nokaneng Clinic in the Mmametlhake Sub-District, Nokaneng Village.
11.55am
The Deputy President will visit the Nokaneng Cluster Project in Nokaneng Village at the Chief Lefifi area.
1.45pm
The main Imbizo takes place at the Nokaneng Sports field.
